The zone by zone brush pickup dates are:

March 6

Zones 3 & 5

March 13

Zones 2 & 4

March 20

Zones 1 & 8

WEATHER PERMITTING…See below

Please note that there is no leaf pick up at this time and there should be no leaves curbside.  Brush and leaves may NOT be comingled. Leaf pickup will begin in April.

In the event of hazardous winter weather conditions, the OEM may reinstate restrictions and suspend further pickup.   Residents will be notified in advance through Township email and Social Media if a collection is postponed, in which case no debris should be placed curbside for collection.

Brush is to be placed curbside by 7:00 am on the first day of the scheduled pickup week free of leaves or other debris. Weather permitting; it generally takes approximately one week to complete scheduled zones. Once a street has been completed, the DPW will not return to that street. For the safety of pedestrians and motorists, brush should be placed at the curb no earlier than one week prior to the first scheduled collection date.

All brush is to be cut to a maximum length of six (6) feet and a maximum diameter of four (4) inches and should not exceed fifty (50) pounds in weight. Branches less than one inch in diameter shall be tied in neat bundles no more than four (4) feet in length and two (2) feet across. The total amount placed for any single collection may not be more than ten (10) cubic yard or three (3) feet by three (3) feet by thirty (30) feet.

Brush comingled with leaves, grass, rocks, stumps, construction debris, fence posts, etc., trash or recyclables will not be collected. Landscapers or residents placing debris for collection in an unauthorized manner shall be required to remove the waste from the public right of way.

In addition, throughout the year, items may be brought to the Township Recycling Center at no charge.  Please see the Recycling Calendar for details.   The Recycling Center is open for drop-offs on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm, and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  No permit or fee is required for lawn debris, electronics (TVs, computers, etc.) and recyclable glass, cans and paper. Bulk trash requires a free of charge permit available at the Recycling office Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Proof of residency for all drop-offs is required. See page 10 of the Recycling Calendar for details.  The Recycling Center may close in case of inclement weather.  You may also obtain recycling information by calling 732 536-0188 or by sending an email to publicworks@marlboro-nj.gov.
