Dear Residents:

The National Weather Service is predicting showers and thunderstorms for later this afternoon and evening. Some storms could be severe with damaging winds. Storms may produce hail.
The Mayor’s office has been in contact with JCPL regarding pending storm. They have assured us that they have work crews in the area in case of power outages and crews will remain until power is restored.

In the event of a power outage, please call JCP&L at 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) to report your outage or click here to report your outage online or via text messaging.  Outage information is also available on JCP&L’s  24/7 Power Center Maps and on the JCP&L Facebook page. Please immediately report downed wires to JCP&L or the Marlboro Division of Police. Never go near a downed power line, even if you think it is no longer carrying electricity.

If you have not already done so, please visit our “Communications for Residents” section on the Township Website www.marlboro-nj.gov/resident-communications.html to ensure that your home and cell phones are registered for Police reverse 9-1-1 calls and text message updates. You can also find us on Facebook www.facebook.com/marlborotownship.nj and Twitter @MarlboroTwp as well as my Facebook page.

The Marlboro Police Department is available 24 hours a day at (732) 536-0100. For emergencies, please do not hesitate to call 9-1-1. We will continue to update the public through email, reverse 9-1-1 and social media, as necessary. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and assistance.

Mayor Jon Hornik
