The Marlboro Township Water Utility Division recently completed its 2022 Lead and Copper Sampling. Testing for Lead and Copper is on a reduced three-year monitoring schedule because years of testing have demonstrated that the results are consistently below the EPA action levels. Sampling conducted in 2022 showed that the water utility is consistently well below the 15 parts per billion (ppb) maximum contaminant level of Lead, results ranged from 0 ppb to 4 ppb.  Additionally, the 90th percentile for 2022 sampling was 0. This means that the concentration of lead and copper must be less than or equal to the action level in at least 90% of the samples collected. If you are interested in having your water tested for lead please contact a laboratory that is certified by the NJDEP to sample and evaluate for lead.
