Coronavirus Update #24 – Holidays

Dear Resident,

Thank you to the many residents who tuned in to watch my Facebook Live Passover and Easter video. If you have access to Facebook the video will remain on line at https://www.facebook.com/marlborotownship/

As always this letter contains the information from the video that may be of interest to you and your families.
Our ‘scrambled egg hunt’ scheduled for last week was cancelled, but that does not stop the Recreation Department. I am pleased to announce ‘Scrambled Egg Hunt …To Go’. Marlboro Police Officers will deliver candy filled eggs to the homes of residents with children 12 years old and younger. You must register on Community Pass no later than 5pm Friday (one registration per family, please.) Place a basket near your mailbox by midnight on Friday and your own at-home Easter egg hunt will be delivered on Saturday or Sunday. Many thanks to the Recreation Department and Marlboro Police for making this happen! Please see the FLYER for more on how to participate in this terrific program.

To ensure that no one has to be alone, we reached out to every religious organization in Marlboro and asked them to provide a list of virtual services that are available to the public. That list is HERE and will be updated as needed.

For those that have not yet planned their Easter or Passover meal many restaurants and supermarkets have Holiday meals available. Please review the Restaurant and Grocery list HERE.

This week, as we celebrate the Holidays that are so meaningful to many of us, please share photos of your Passover Seder or Easter meal and virtual gatherings on the town Facebook page. The post will be pinned to the top of the page.  For those that do not celebrate, please upload a picture of your family meal. Family gatherings of any kind are a reason to be grateful.  If you do not have access to social media and wish your photo to be shared, please send a jpeg via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will upload it on your behalf.

We are a community, and, as a community, we will get through this together. To those that celebrate, I wish you a Happy Passover and Easter.
Mayor Jon Hornik
