Update #2 Winter Storm Stella

March 12, 2017 – 7:00 pm

Dear Residents:

The Marlboro Office of Emergency Management has activated the emergency reverse 911 system in advance of the incoming storm.

The text is as follows:
"This is a message from the Marlboro Township Office of Emergency Management According to the national weather service the snow will begin on Monday evening at 8pm and continue through 8pm on Tuesday. This storm could produce 40 mph to 50 mph winds and several inches of snow. Residents are reminded to remove all motor vehicles from all State, County and Municipal roadways within the Township. Failure to do so is a violation of our Municipal ordinances and will result in vehicles being ticketed and towed off the roadway. Also please remove all garbage receptacles from the roadway, as they will be damaged by plowing. All cases of power outages should be reported directly to Jersey Central Power and Light as the police department does not have access to restoration information. All unnecessary travel should be avoided until the roadways have been cleared. Stay safe and warm!"
