Winter Storm Stella – Update #6

Dear Resident,
We are now in the middle of our second pass at clearing the roads throughout the Town. We will also be dropping salt and sand in anticipation of freezing this evening. Local, county and state roads, including Route 18, are very slippery and caution is required. OEM suggests that you travel only if absolutely necessary.

Please do not shovel snow and slush from your driveway or your cars onto the roadway. This creates icy and dangerous conditions. Snow and slush should be removed and the surfaces salted before freezing later today.

If late this evening, you feel your road requires additional attention, please email DPW at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call 732-536-0188. Please do not contact police as they are dealing with emergency situations during the storm.

A reminder of the following cancellations and postponements:

Zone 5 recycling pickup is cancelled for Tuesday. Zone 5 only will have a makeup date on Saturday, March 18; recycling must be curbside by 7am on Saturday.
The Recycling Center is closed Wednesday.
As always, the Marlboro Police Department is available 24 hours a day at (732) 536-0100. For emergencies, please do not hesitate to call 9-1-1.

We will continue to update the public through email, reverse 9-1-1 and social media, as necessary. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and assistance. Stay safe!

Mayor Jon Hornik
