Weekend Update

Dear Resident,

We are in the final two weeks of the Marlboro Farmers Market before we close for the regular season and fall produce is plentiful and 27 vendors are expected this week.  The market is open Sunday from 9am to 1pm through October 30. Visit the Marlboro Farmers Market Facebook and Instagram pages for details.

Please be extra cautious on the roads as we enter deer rutting season (late October through mid-December).  Deer are more likely to run suddenly into the roads at this time of year especially at dawn and dusk.  Please slow down, increase your awareness of sudden movement on the roads, don’t tailgate and always wear a seatbelt.

UPCOMING EVENTS AND PROGRAMS

Property Taxes - Fourth quarter property taxes must be received by Thursday, November 10th to avoid interest. Note that interest charges on payments made after the grace period are calculated back to the November 1st due date. The Tax Collector’s office will have extended hours on Thursday, November 10th from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm. A drop box is located in the vestibule of Town Hall and is available 24/7. All payments left in the drop box by 8:00 pm on November 10th will be credited that day and will not be subject to interest. Read the Tax Collector’s letter HERE.  Property tax information can be found on our website at HERE.

Brush Only Pickup – Fall brush only pick up is underway. Please take a moment to review the regulations and keep our streets clear, clean and free from flooding. For more details and dates please view the letter posted to the Township Website HERE.  An easy reference FLYER HERE.

Leaf Collection – As per the recycling calendar, the dates for the fall piled leaf collection will be announced via email. When we schedule curbside collection for the recycling calendar we do so with two unknowns; the date the leaves will fall and the date of the first snowfall.  The timing of the leaves falling, the greater frequency of severe storms and earlier snowfalls all impact the timetable for collecting leaves.  We need your cooperation to keep our streets safe, keep leaves out of our storm drains and to ensure DEP compliance.  Look for a postcard in the mail with a QR code to scan and register for email updates. Please note, if you are receiving this letter via email, you are already registered to receive email updates.  View the postcard HERE
