RE: Hazardous Weather Outlook
        Leaf Collection Update

Dear Resident,

The Marlboro Office of Emergency Management is tracking a coastal storm system moving through our area today through midday Wednesday. The system will bring the potential for heavy rainfall and gusty winds as a cold front moves through the region. Heavy rainfall of 1 – 3 inches is possible and winds increase with gusts of 25-35 MPH mainly during the overnight hours tonight into Wednesday morning.

In light of the potential for heavy rain and in order to ensure the safety of the public, please be advised that the Department of Public Works (DPW) will be conducting unscheduled leaf collections in certain areas throughout town regardless of Zone. DPW will return to each Zone for its scheduled leaf collection as previously publicized. Please keep leaves away from storm drains as it prevents the water from flowing to the sewers to drain. To review the leaf collection schedule and regulations, please click HERE.

Fortunately, this storm is not expected to bring high winds. However, should you lose power, report your outage by calling 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877), clicking the “Report Outage” link on www.firstenergycorp.com, or by texting out to 544487.

Assume all downed wires are live and dangerous. Report to the Marlboro Division of Police at 732-536-0100 to report.  In case of emergencies, dial 911.

This storm is forecast to pass fairly quickly and Thanksgiving Day and much of the holiday weekend is expected to be sunny.  We will update you if it becomes necessary.  Stay safe.
