RE: Local Mainstreet Gift Card Program
Dear Resident,
In these difficult times, Marlboro Township has remained committed to supporting our local businesses. Since the beginning of this health emergency, we actively engaged with the business community and promoted restaurants and food stores delivery options and hours for at-those at risk. We expanded outdoor dining and fitness at no charge by Executive Order. This commitment is not new – it began with the Shop Marlboro! campaign established in 2010 and the Shop Marlboro! Property Tax Reward Program launched in 2012.
We are pleased to announce a new economic development initiative called Local Mainstreet. This web-based platform recently received significant favorable press, largely because it was created by two of our town’s young residents who were seeking to give back to their community during the pandemic.
The platform connects residents with local businesses by providing the ability to purchase gift cards for future use at Marlboro businesses. Purchasing gift cards takes “buy local” to a new level, providing much-needed revenue to our businesses now which is especially important during these very challenging economic times. The gift card does not expire and can be used by you or gifted to others.
For more about the program, to view participating businesses, and to purchase a gift card on line, please visit Local Main Street Marlboro.

We hope you will consider using this program. When we come out of this state of emergency, we still want Marlboro to offer the same wealth of retail and dining options as today, critical to our status as a premier place to live, work and raise a family.
