RE: Public Notices from the Marlboro K-8 School District and the NJ Department of Transportation
Dear Marlboro Resident,
We have been asked by both the Marlboro K-8 School Board and the NJ Department of Transportation to assist them in disseminating information to the public. Please see below.
- Marlboro Township Public School –Please take the time to complete the following important survey:
MTPS Safe Return to In-Person Instruction & Continuity of Service
Explanation: President Biden has signed the Federal American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act into law. The ARP Act provides additional funding to school districts to help safely reopen, sustain the safe operation of schools, and address the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the nation’s students. The purpose of the additional funding is to support school districts in preparing for and responding to the impacts of COVID-19 on educators, students, and families. The ARP Act requires each school district that receives ARP ESSER funds to develop and make publicly available on the school district’s website, no later than 30 days after receiving ARP ESSER funds, a plan for the safe return to in-person instruction and continuity of services for all schools. A Safe Return Plan is required of all fund recipients. Section 2001(i)(2) of the ARP Act requires that school districts seek public comment on the Safe Return Plan and take those comments into account in finalization of the Safe Return Plan. Please note that any plans pertaining to health and safety measures are dependent on the governor's guidance for school districts. We have not been informed of any guidance as of this point. These funds are able to be utilized until September 2024. Please note that Marlboro Township Public Schools has received an allocation of $1,084,744. Of this allocation, 20% must be dedicated to learning loss. In addition to this email, this survey has been sent to parents/guardians of the MTPS district students and posted on their social media pages. This survey will close on Thursday, June 17th.
