ROAD CLOSED – CONSTRUCTION ADVISORY – POLICE PRESENT

Ryan Road CLOSED Overnight – Ryan Road will be CLOSED from approximately  6pm to 6am overnight on the evenings of Tuesday (6/4) and Wednesday (6/5) reopening the morning of Thursday (6/6) for mill and fill pave operations between Robertsville Road and Route 79. The road will be closed from Ryan Road and Robertsville Road to Ryan Road and Route 79.  The road will be open during the day.  Police Officers will be on site to assist the homeowners who live near Ryan Road.  Electronic Boards are posted.  Please avoid the area if possible. 

LANE CLOSURES/PARTIALLY CLOSED – CONSTRUCTION ADVISORY – POLICE PRESENT

Tennent Road - Monday, June 3 through Thursday, June 6 from 9am to 3:30 pm Tennent Road will be closed northbound from Greenwood Road to Church Lane for road construction. North bound traffic will be diverted onto Greenwood Road. The southbound lane from Route 79 on Tennent Road will be open. Note, that it is possible this work will continue into Friday.  

FACILITY UPDATES

Wicker and Woodcliff Parks - Basketball Court improvements are underway at both parks.  The other park facilities remain open and we ask that you are cautious when near ongoing construction. 

UPCOMING ROAD PROJECTS

Robertsville Road - Marlboro has received funding from the NJ DOT Municipal Aid Program for the Robertsville Road improvement project (Manalapan to Freehold border) in the amount of $209,528.  This project includes the milling, reconstruction and overlay of the existing roadway surface along with drainage improvements, installation of ADA curb ramps and detectable warning surfaces, traffic striping, the reconstruction of all inlets and stormwater management improvements. The project is currently in the design phase and construction is anticipated by Spring 2025.

Ticetown Road - Marlboro has been selected to receive funding from the NJ DOT Municipal Aid Program for the Ticetown Road improvement project in the amount of $246,850.  This project includes the milling, reconstruction and overlay of the existing roadway surface along with drainage improvements, installation of ADA curb ramps and detectable warning surfaces, traffic striping, the reconstruction of all inlets and stormwater management improvements. The project is currently in the design phase and 2024 construction is anticipated.

Harbor Road -  Roadway improvements on Harbor Road between Tennent Road and Route 79 are anticipated to begin this Spring with final paving to be completed in the Summer of 2024.  Harbor Road will be closed while the contractor is on site with detours in place, during which time Police Officers will be on site to assist motorists.

School Road East -The resurfacing of School Road East between Brushneck Road and the Colts Neck border is scheduled to be completed in the spring/summer of 2024.  Upon issuance of permits from the NJDEP, the remainder of the roadway between Brushneck Road and Dutch Lane will be resurfaced in coordination with stream cleaning and other drainage improvements.  Also anticipated to be resurfaced in the spring/summer of 2024 is the section of School Road East between Buckley Road and the Bella Vista Country Club.  School Road East will be closed while the contractor is on site with detours in place, during which time Police Officers will be on site to assist motorists.
