Winter Weather Advisory – Update #1
Dear Resident,
I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year. The Marlboro Office of Emergency Management has been monitoring our first winter weather event of the season and the National Weather Service has just issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our area effective now until 4pm, Monday. The bulk of the snowfall is expected to stay well south of us, however our area is expected to receive total accumulations of one to three inches with winds gusting as high as 35mph and wind chills in the teens all day.
Roads can be slick and hazardous road conditions can be expected for the morning commute.
We remind residents that the local schools are opening Monday morning following winter break and extra traffic is likely. Please leave additional time, slow down and leave extra space between you and other vehicles. As always, please move over for emergency vehicles.
We will continue to monitor the weather and update you as more becomes available.
Stay safe,
Mayor Jon Hornik
