Winter Storm Stella – Update #5

Dear Resident,
At this time, we are under a Winter Storm Warning until 6:00 this evening (the blizzard warning is cancelled) as well as a High Wind Warning until 4pm. Winds will be 20-30 MPH and higher wind gusts which may cause downed limbs, trees and power lines. Travel is still dangerous especially as the winds increase and roads freeze so we ask that you stay off the roads and allow safe passage for snow removal equipment, police and first responders.
Please do not call the police for snow removal or power outage information. It is vital that the police lines stay open for emergencies, downed wires, closed roads etc. If you feel your road requires additional attention, please email DPW at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call 732-536-0188.
A reminder that the following snow removal guidelines are in place:

  1. By Ordinance, all cars, basketball hoops, etc. must be removed from the street when the roads are snow covered.
  2. We remind you that the OEM has SUSPENDED ALL CURBSIDE BRUSH PICKUP. There should be no additional brush debris curbside until further notice. Please check email, website and social media for re-schedule information.
  3. It is suggested that you wait to clean the bottom of your driveway until DPW has finished plowing. This will prevent the plow from depositing as much snow at the end of your driveway.

A reminder of the following cancellations and postponements:

  1. Zone 5 recycling pickup is cancelled for Tuesday. Zone 5 only will have a makeup date on Saturday, March 18; recycling must be curbside by 7am on Saturday.
  2. The Recycling Center is closed Wednesday.
  3. Please check with your garbage company for trash pickup cancellations.
  4. The FRHSD and the Marlboro K-8 schools are closed today. Accordingly, all recreation programs are cancelled.

The Marlboro Office of Emergency Management (OEM) as well as my office will continue to monitor the forecast. As always, the Marlboro Police Department is available 24 hours a day at (732) 536-0100. For emergencies, please do not hesitate to call 9-1-1. Please note that in case of emergency, the first responders are fully equipped to get to you.
We will continue to update the public through email, reverse 9-1-1 and social media, as necessary. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and assistance. Stay safe!
