RE: Storm Update #2 - 2:00 pm
Dear resident,
We have been in contact with JCP&L throughout the day. At this time, 5,000 Monmouth County residents remain without power including 463 homes in Marlboro.
JCP&L reports that the estimated time of restoration (ETR) for the Crine Road/Route 520 area has been pushed to 4:00 pm today as JCP&L replaces two additional cross arms and re-conduct two to three 150 foot spans of wire. The other ETRs in my last email (linked HERE) remain the same.
All Marlboro roads are open to traffic however, roads may be closed for a short period as JCP&L conducts repairs. A reminder that it is common for JCP&L to briefly de-energize a line as they prepare to bring up a circuit. This kind of outage should not last more than 10 minutes. If it lasts longer, please report it to JCP&L.
We will continue to work with JCP&L until all residents are restored.
Mayor Jon Hornik
