Dear Resident, 

Last night a storm passed through our area bringing heavy rain and high winds. In the aftermath, we have downed lines, power outages and flooded roads. 

1. We have been in contact with JCP&L and they have activated their storm response system. If you are experiencing a power outage, please report directly to JCP&L at 888LIGHTSS for an estimated time of restoration. This will be particularly important as they begin staged restorations enabling you to get an accurate ETR for your address. 

2. Roads are closed due to flooding and downed trees and wires throughout the town. As of the writing of this letter, the following roads are closed/detoured. 

- Lafayette between Pheasant and Eagle 

- Pleasant Valley Road between Conover and Mockingbird

- School Road East detour between Braxton and Country Club 

- Gordons Corner Road between Vista and Micki

-Beacon Hill near Beth

3. Assume all downed wires are live and dangerous. Do not drive over or touch them. Immediately report to police. 

4.  A charging station has been set up at Recreation. Charging blocks are available. Please bring your own cord and plug.  

5. Please do not call police for power outage updates. They do not have additional information and it is vital that their lines stay open for emergencies.
