Weekend Update

Dear Resident,

Our week was eventful as we experienced an earthquake and an eclipse.  Earthquakes are not common in our area and we were fortunate that no damage was done, but it is a reminder to plan and prepare.  Please review NJOEM Earthquake planning tips HERE.

When we experience an emergency, either personally or community wide, it is our Dispatch Communications team who answers our call.  Last year, our dispatch staff answered more than 6,200 911 calls and were the first point of contact for nearly 33,000 incidents.  We are thankful for their service throughout the year, but I ask residents to join me in acknowledging their important role during Public Safety Telecommunicators Week from April 14 through April 20.

Read on for more.
