Weekend Update –Daylight Savings Time
Dear Resident,
True to March, our weather has been volatile with spring, fall, and winter temperatures sometimes in one day. We are currently watching the forecast of a ‘weather bomb cyclone’ bringing the potential of a strong storm system with rain, some snow and high winds Friday into Saturday and cold temperatures on Sunday after the storm departs. Please keep your eye on the local weather forecast and we will update you as needed.
Daylight Savings Time begins Sunday, March 13 at 2am. Move your clocks ahead two hours before you head to bed on Saturday. Our Fire Officials remind residents to ‘Change Your Clocks. Check Your Batteries.’ Test smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors, change replaceable batteries and check the expiration date. All alarms manufactured in 2012 or earlier should be replaced.
Last week I shared the “Keeping Marlboro Safe” letter (linked HERE). As noted in the letter Marlboro Police increased patrols and at 3:00am Tuesday Ptlm. Charles Wilson conducted a motor vehicle stop in a residential area. Upon investigation he arrested five young males from North Jersey and impounded their vehicle. Thank you to Ptlm. Wilson for his quick action.
Chief Pezzullo and I remind residents to lock your vehicles, keep valuables out of sight, remove the key fobs and lock your car doors. As always, if you ‘See Something. Say Something. We will Do Something.’ Please take a moment to review the safety letter to learn how together as a community we can help fight crime.
Virtual Optimum Town Hall Meeting – A reminder that Monday, March 14 at 6:00pm we will host a virtual meeting with Altice/Optimum. Call in, log-in on your browser or download the free app to your phone or tablet and direct your questions or concerns directly to Optimum/Altice management level employees. They will address general questions as well as troubleshoot concerns specific to your home. Please CLICK HERE for details.
