Winter Weather Advisory – Update #4

Good morning,

Snow has been falling for a few hours now, and the total accumulation projected by the National Weather Service (NWS) has been increased yet again to a range of 5 to 9 inches. Significant accumulation is expected in just the next few hours.

While the snow is forecasted to taper off this afternoon, if you do not need to travel, please stay off of the roads so that public works operators can treat and clear the roadways as efficiently as possible.

Note that the snow that has fallen thus far is heavy, and with wind gusts of up to 30 mph anticipated, power may be affected.  In the event of power outages, report your outage by calling 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877), clicking the “Report Outage” link on www.firstenergycorp.com, or by texting out to 544487.

As we all begin digging out of this storm, the ‘Surviving the Snow’ section of the Recycling Calendar (pages 22 and 23) and linked HERE includes tips, important numbers and websites for your reference.

We will continue to monitor weather conditions, and keep you posted as to any changes via email, social media channels and the Township website.

Stay safe,

Mayor Jon Hornik
