Mayor Hornik Headed to Trenton to Support 50% Senior Tax Cut

Just a short note to let you know that I will be testifying in Trenton tomorrow on behalf of a bill being introduced by Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin.  The bill proposes to cut taxes for Marlboro seniors by 50%.

As you know, we continue to do what we can at the local level with programs through our Recreation Department to help ease the financial burden and encourage seniors stay here in town.  Unfortunately, only action at the State level can provide the tax relief that is needed.

Tune in on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 1:00 pm at https://www.njleg.state.nj.us/  In the middle of the page, click "Live proceedings", and then on the "Assembly Aging and Senior Services Committee" to hear the testimony.

I will keep you posted on this important bill’s progress.

Mayor Jon Hornik
