Weekend Update – New Year Edition

Dear Resident,

I hope everyone had a meaningful holiday season. May 2025 bring you joy, health and prosperity.

Christmas Tree curbside collection and bagged leaf pick up will be held the weeks of January 6 and 13 for all zones.  Please see Public Notices below for details.  The 2025 recycling calendar has been posted on the website (HERE).  The official calendar will be mailed to your home shortly and can be recognized by the red and green card stock cover. 

EVENTS/PROGRAMS

Recreation Programming – Youth programming is open now for winter 2025 classes.  Read more HERE.

Marlboro Recreation Summer 2025 Employment – Applications now being accepted for NEW applicants only.  (HERE) The application deadline is 2/10/25 to be guaranteed an interview.  Applications should be mailed or dropped off at the rec enter.  No email applications will be accepted.  Summer 2024 employees will be contacted by email. 

PUBLIC NOTICES

Christmas Tree & Bagged Leaf Curbside Collection –Christmas Trees and bagged leaves will be collected in all zones the weeks of January 6 and 13.  Please have curbside by 7am Monday morning.  Christmas Trees must have stands and decorations removed (tinsel ok) and do not bag the tree. Leaves must be place in bio-degradable paper bags.  To receive free leaf bags, please complete the on-line form HERE.

Recycling Calendar – The 2025 official recycling calendar is posted on the top of the Township website. The only official calendar that can be relied upon for all collection information has a green and red cardstock cover.  A copy will be mailed to your home soon.  CALENDAR

Bus Drivers –Marlboro school district is seeking bus drivers.  Training provided.  Call 732-972-2118 for more. 

PUBLIC SAFETY

Pet Licensing Portal OPEN – The portal is now open and ready to register your pets for 2025.  We remind you that every dog/cat over 6 months of age (or within 10 days of acquisition) must be registered every calendar year.  Registration may be completed on-line, by mail or in person. Message from the Office of Chief Pezzullo – Please remember to lock your car doors, take the key fobs inside, remove garage door openers, lock your house doors/windows and set alarms.  Do not leave your keys easily visible/accessible.  If you see anything out of place or suspicious call the police at 732-536-0100.  For crimes in progress dial 911.  To read more about how we, as a community, are working together to keep our homes and families safe: CRA

TOWN MEETINGS

All Town meetings are posted on the Township website ‘Upcoming Events’ Calendar linked HERE.  Agendas, where applicable, are posted to the website not less than 48 hours in advance of the meeting and are linked to the calendar event.  The following Council/Planning/Zoning meetings are upcoming. Other meetings can be found on the calendar.  From time to time, meetings are cancelled and notice is posted to the calendar event.
