Weekend Update

Dear Resident,

January has flown by and spring and summer planning are in full swing. We have a lot of information to share this week and so we will get right to it. 

EVENTS/PROGRAMS

Summer Camp Registration – Recreation camp registration opens for residents on February 5.  Please review the email sent earlier this week and linked HERE.  Take this time to ensure your Community Pass account is accurate. 

Recreation Programming – New youth programming beginning in March and programs for residents age 60+ HERE.  

Marlboro Swim Club - Registration opens February 10.  FLYER

Marlboro Community Garden – The garden is application applications.  Learn more about the garden and the application process HERE.  

Marlboro Youth Exchange Information Session – Learn about this intercultural opportunity with our Sister City on February 16, 4:30 pm at the Rec Center.  FLYER

PUBLIC NOTICES

Brush Collection – Begins by zone as per the email sent earlier this week and linked HERE.   Please do not place brush curbside in advance as the OEM can reschedule/postpone any collection due to inclement weather

Harlem Wizards! Save the date for the amazing Harlem Wizards at Marlboro High School where we again welcome Referee Chief Pezzullo on April 2 from 7pm-9pm. FLYER

Property Taxes - First quarter property taxes must be received by Monday, February 10th to avoid interest. Note that interest charges on payments made after the grace period are calculated back to the February 1st due date. MORE…

Marlboro Recreation Summer 2025 Employment – Applications now being accepted for NEW applicants only.  (HERE) The application deadline is 2/10/25 to be guaranteed an interview.  Applications should be mailed or dropped off at the rec enter.  No email applications will be accepted.  Summer 2024 employees will be contacted by email. 

Commuter Parking Permit Renewals - The 2025-2026 commuter parking permit renewal must be completed on or before March 31, 2025. Please find information on the renewal process here: https://www.marlboro-nj.gov/parking-permit-portal  If you are not a current permit holder, you can apply for a permit on April 1, 2025 when the new 2025-2026 permit year begins.

PUBLIC SAFETY

Fire Safety During Winter Storms – Our Fie Officials remind residents that there are more home fires in winter than any other season.  Be fire smart! FLYER

January is Radon Action Month – Radon in your home can be a serious health risk, but it can be fixed.  Please review the FLYER from NJDEP for more information and how to test your home.

REMINDERS FROM LAST WEEK’S EMAIL

Pet Licensing Portal OPEN – The portal is now open and ready to register your pets for 2025. If your pet was registered last year you will have received a renewal notice in the mail.  We remind you that every dog/cat over 6 months of age (or within 10 days of acquisition) must be registered every calendar year.  Registration may be completed on-line, by mail or in person. TOWN MEETINGS

All Town meetings are posted on the Township website ‘Upcoming Events’ Calendar linked HERE.  Agendas, where applicable, are posted to the website not less than 48 hours in advance of the meeting and are linked to the calendar event.  The following Council/Planning/Zoning meetings are upcoming. Other meetings can be found on the calendar.  From time to time, meetings are cancelled and notice is posted to the calendar event.
