Weekend Update

Dear Resident,

The weather has begun to warm and spring is near.  Public Works has been preparing our fields for spring programs, the Farmers Market is getting ready for a June opening and we are nearing our Scrambled EGGstravaganza.

PUBLIC NOTICES

Road Construction Season – Road Construction notices have begun following winter break.   Please see the most recent notice HERE.  Note that this is the continuation of the 2023/24 road program.  The state has begun their annual pothole filling program. To report potholes on Marlboro’s roads, please use the link to the Pothole Portal in the road construction notice or on the website homepage.

Brush Collection Has Resumed by Zone –We are in the final week of brush collection.  Please see the letter sent by DPW HERE.  We remind residents that it can take up to a week for DPW to complete the scheduled zones, but once they pass, they will not return. Brush and lawn debris are accepted at the recycling center, no permit or fee, throughout the year.  Thank you for your cooperation.  Bagged leaf collection will begin later this month.  More to follow. 

2024 Recycling Calendar – The calendar has been mailed to all homes and is posted on the Township website and linked HERE.  (The calendar posted on the website has the corrected August dates.)

Marlboro Swim Club Registration – Now open! FLYER

Life Guard Training – Train to be a lifeguard.  Must be age 15 by the end of the class. Employment free training opportunity. FLYER

Eggstravaganza – Save the date for our annual egg hunt March 23.  Divided into age groups from 1-3pm.  FLYER

Clothing Drive – The Marlboro Youth Exchange will be holding a clothing drive on March 23 from 9am to 3pm in the recreation parking lot.  Just in time to spring clean your closets.  See FLYER for details. 

Community Coffee Chat – March 26 from 6-8pm, join Marlboro Township Schools and Marlboro Police Resource Officers to discuss substance abuse.  RSVP to Registration Link 

Walk with Friends – May 19, Walk4Friends will hold their annual walk & family fun day that raises crucial funds and community awareness for Friendship Circle - a nonprofit organization that provides social and recreational opportunities for individuals with special needs. PUBLIC SAFETY – UPDATE

Join the Club – We are pleased to announce that The Club steering wheel lock is back in stock.  To order yours please CLICK HERE to Take the Pledge and have The Club delivered to your home (max 2 per address). Please note that The Club is available while supplies last. 

DVRT –Volunteer Advocates are civilian members of the community who work collaboratively with law enforcement to provide confidential support to survivors of domestic violence.

Pet Licensing Portal Open – Licensing your dogs and cats annually is required by state and town regulations.  The rabies vaccine must be current at the time of application.  On line and mail-in information HERE.

TOWN MEETINGS

All Town meetings are posted on the Township website ‘Upcoming Events’ Calendar linked HERE.  Agendas, where applicable, are posted to the website not less than 48 hours in advance of the meeting and are linked to the calendar event.  The following Council/Planning/Zoning meetings are scheduled for the remainder of March. Other meetings can be found on the calendar.  From time to time, meetings are cancelled and notice is posted will be posted to the calendar event.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Commuter Parking Renewals Due on or Before March 31 - The 2024-2025 commuter parking permit renewal period for Marlboro Township's commuter parking lots is now open. Renewals must be completed on-line via the Township’s SDL Portal, on or before March 31, 2024. Paper applications are no longer accepted. Please find information on the renewal process and the 2024 parking renewal letter here: https://www.marlboro-nj.gov/parking-permit-portal   

COVID-19 Ratepayer Measures provide relief to ratepayers experiencing economic hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The NJ Department of Community Affairs has developed a low income household water assistance program.  Please review the letter from the Marlboro Water Utility HERE.
