Winter Weather Advisory – Update #7
Brush Collection Postponed
Good afternoon,
The Office of Emergency Management has directed that brush collection be suspended until further notice. Snow covered roads and snow removal operations will not allow for brush to be safely placed at the curb for collection.
If your zone was scheduled for pickup this week and brush was already placed curbside, there is no need to remove it. We ask that no resident places additional brush curbside until OEM directs that brush collection be resumed and a new schedule announced.
- A reminder that vehicles and obstructions are required to be removed from the roadways while the roads are snow covered.
- Snow should not be shoveled, blown or plowed into the roadways. The melting and refreezing of snow causes surfaces to become dangerous.
- The United States Postal Service asks customers to clear enough snow from their mailboxes to allow mail trucks to approach the box, deliver the mail and drive away.
- Fire hydrants located in front of your property should be cleared of snow to prevent the lines from freezing and allow access in case of fire.
Revised brush collection schedules will be made via email, social media and posted on the website. If you are not receiving email updates, please CLICK HERE.
Please note that, as per the recycling calendar, all curbside collections are weather permitting and subject to rescheduling/cancellation. For that reason, lawn debris is not to be placed curbside more than one week prior to your first scheduled collection date. The Recycling Center is open regularly scheduled hours and accepts lawn debris throughout the year at no charge. For more, please review the recycling calendar HERE.
We appreciate your cooperation as we work together to keep our streets safe and clean.
