Weekend Update – Presidents Day Edition

Dear Resident,

This past week the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area, and like so weather events have been, was a changeable forecast.  My thanks to our Office of Emergency Management for their involvement before, during and after the storm, the Police, Fire and First Aid who worked to keep our residents safe.  I remind residents that we have 200 miles of road in 32 square miles and it takes DPW and contractors 10 hours to make one circuit throughout the Township to remove 4” of snow.  We appreciate your patience and extend our gratitude to Department of Public Works who work throughout the night to clear our roads.

Our OEM is monitoring a fairly active weather pattern over the next few days.  Although nothing impactful is expected for our area, please keep an eye on the weather forecasts for updates.

Monday, February 19 is Presidents Day and Town Hall and the Recycling center are closed in observance. The drop box is available in the Town Hall vestibule and many services can be accomplished on line.  The police are open 24/7 and can be reached at 732-536-0100.  Emergencies dial 911.

Please review the programs, notices and important information below.

PUBLIC NOTICES

Brush Collection Suspended – As noted in the recycling calendar, all curbside collections are weather permitting and may be postponed by order of the OEM.  Snow covered roads do not allow for brush to be safely placed at the curb for collection and so OEM has called for brush collection to be suspended until further notice.  Please see the email HERE for details.
