RE: PRIMARY ELECTION TUESDAY, JUNE 8, 2021
Dear Resident,
Tuesday, June 8, 2021 is New Jersey’s primary election day. In person voting on machines will be available at polling places on Election Day. Polls are open from 6 a.m. – 8 p.m. Please read on for more information.
- Registration Deadline - The deadline to register to vote in the primary election was May 18, 2021. Check your registration status HERE.
- NJ recognizes the Democratic and Republican parties and you may vote for the candidate(s) of your choice representing the party in which you are registered. If you are an unaffiliated voter (a voter who has not declared a party) you can vote in the Primary Election by declaring a party either Democrat or Republican at your polling location on Election Day.
2. Vote-By-Mail (VBM) ballots – VBM ballots have been mailed only to registered voters who had requested a VBM ballot (not all registered voters). Return your VBM ballot by:
- Mailed via U.S. mail (postmarked by 8 p.m. on June 8).
- Placed in any Monmouth County secure Ballot Drop Box by 8 p.m. on June 8. LOCATIONS HERE.
- Deliver to the Monmouth County Board of Elections by 8 p.m. on June 8, located at 300 Halls Mill Road in Freehold.
- Apply in Person – Registered voters can apply in-person for a VBM ballot and vote at the County Clerk’s Election Office located at 300 Halls Mills Road until 3 p.m. Monday, June 7 MORE
- NOTE: Your VBM Ballot CANNOT be returned to your polling place.
- Track your VBM Ballot HERE.
- Any registered voter can VBM for any reason. Click HERE to receive a ballot in the mail for future elections.
3. Vote at Your Polling Location Election Day – Polls are open from 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Your polling location is printed on the sample ballot mailed to your home or find your polling location HERE.
- Change in polling location for Marlboro Districts 18 and 24. District 24 will vote at Asher Holmes Elementary School located at 48 Menzel Lane and District 18 at Robertsville Elementary located at 36 Menzel Lane. Both districts previously voted at Robertsville Bible School.
