Cold Weather Advisory and Winter Storm Clean Up - Update #2

Dear Resident,

Throughout last night and into this morning, our Department of Public Works completed plowing and re-salting all 200 miles of Township roads. They will do follow-up cleanup as needed.  We are grateful for their efforts, and we thank you for removing obstructions from the roadways allowing the plows to move freely and safely throughout the night.

Please help keep our roadways clear and safe.  To prevent icing and snow-covered roadways, do not clear snow from your vehicles or driveway onto the roadway, but direct it onto your lawn. Additionally, please keep basketball hoops off the roadway so that the melting snow can run freely to the sewers and prevent flooding.

A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect from 6pm today (Monday) until noon Wednesday.  Wind chills as low as 7 degrees below zero are expected.  Please take precautions.

  • Frostbite/hypothermia is possible with extended exposure. Wear appropriate clothing when outside or traveling.
  • Limit your pet’s time outside.
  • Check on vulnerable neighbors.
  • Review the Marlboro Office of Emergency Management website HERE with links to preparedness websites.

Again, thank you for your cooperation. If needed, updates will be sent via email, website and social media.

Stay safe,

Mayor Jon Hornik
