Weekend Update

Dear Resident,

We enjoyed perfect weather and a large turnout for our 10th of July concert and fireworks. It takes a team to make an event of this size run seamlessly.  Please join me in thanking our Department of Public Works, Police, Fire, First Aid and police cadets.  The Department of Recreation and Swim led by Department Head Suzi Leifer and the Recreation and Swim Committee Chaired by Adam Dictrow. 

We are looking forward to more summer events.  Next up, bring the family and join us on July 21 for movie night under the stars featuring Encanto.  See below for more information about upcoming recreation events, including our first ever classic car show!

The Marlboro Police are hosting National Night Out and are looking for local businesses to participate.

Annual Tax Bills – The certified tax rate has not yet been received from the State of New Jersey and the annual tax bills are not available at this time. It is anticipated that the tax bills will be mailed by the end of July. Pursuant to Statutory law, the grace period for 3rd quarter property taxes (due August 1st) will be extended based on the mailing date. The grace period will be specified on the tax bill and the Township will update via email and by posting on the Township website. Note that interest charges on payments made after the grace period are calculated back to the August 1 due date.


Youth Lacrosse: LAST CALL!  There are a few spots left for the K-8th grade Lacrosse clinic starting on Monday, July 18th.  Boys and girls welcome! Held on the Roadside field at the Municipal Complex. REGISTER TODAY! FLYER

Swim Lessons For Current Swim Club Members: LAST CALL!  Final session begins July 25th.  A few spots available, space is limited so register today!  Check out the attached flyer for dates, times, prices and level descriptions. Fall Recreation Soccer: Registration is now open for boys and girls, 3 years old through 12th grade.  Games played on Saturdays from September 10th through November 5th.  Residents and non-residents are welcome!  

Marlboro High School Soccer Coaches Camp: Presenting “Playmaking and Finishing,” a soccer camp held by the Marlboro High School soccer coaches August 8 – 12.  Boys and girls entering 3rd – 8th grade are welcome.  Residents and non-residents may register.  See attached for details. FLYER

Show Us Your Wheels! Have an antique, vintage, classic or just a really cool car you want to show off? Join Marlboro’s first ever car show scheduled for August 14 as an addition to our concert series.  No charge to participate, but pre-registration is needed.  Email for details.  Please include contact and car information.

National Night Out – The Marlboro Police are pleased to be hosting this event to foster police/community partnership and are looking for local business to participate.  This event is free for businesses to attend and is a great way to promote your business to thousands of families.  Please click HERE for more.  

Take the Safety Pledge – Thank you to the residents who already took the pledge. If you took the pledge and your sign was not yet delivered, send an email to .   If you have not yet taken the pledge, please click HERE and complete the on-line form.  Continue to lock your car, remove your key fob and keep valuables that are left in your car out of sight.  The 'See Something, Say Something and We Will Do Something' initiative continues to be effective and I thank all residents for your support and cooperation.  Please do not hesitate. If you see something suspicious or out of place, call the police.


Recreation and Swim Programs

Recycling Collections – From time to time schedule adjustments must be made.  Notices are sent email and social media and posted on the website homepage.   As per the recycling calendar, if your recycling is not picked up, leave your bin curbside and send an email with your address to

COVID-19 Ratepayer Relief Measures –Measures are in place to provide relief to ratepayers experiencing economic hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The NJ Department of Community Affairs has developed a low income household water assistance program.  Please review the letter from the Marlboro Water Utility HERE.

Lanternfly Alert – Late-stage nymphs and adults begin to appear in July and have reached their final stages before they can fly.  State officials are asking residents to Stomp Out spotted lanternflys upon sight as the insect has the potential to greatly impact agricultural crops and trees.  Lanternfly sightings should be reported to the state by using the reporting tool HERE or by sending an email to .
